Media Center for Art, Education and Technology to Showcase TechMobile in Sacramento:

The 18-wheel TechMobile will have no problem finding a place to park in downtown Sacramento.

On Tuesday, January 27, 2015, it will have a prime spot already reserved outside the headquarters of the California Department of Education (CDE), at 1430 N Street in Sacramento.

The mobile, high-tech classroom will be featured during “Career Technical Education Demonstration Days,” a week-long series of events hosted by the CDE's Career and College Transition Division.

The TechMobile is operated by the Media Center for Art, Education and Technology (MCAET), a division of the Monterey County Office of Education (MCOE).

Students from Millennium Charter High School in Salinas will be on hand from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. to show visitors how the TechMobile offers hands-on access to 21st Century digital media technology. The truck is equipped with a satellite dish, computer work stations and audio/video equipment.

The event is free and open to the public with no reservations required. The press is invited to attend.
