Administrator Training Program (formerly AB 430)

The Monterey County Office of Education is a State Board of Education approved provider for the Administrator Training Program. The purpose of the Administrator Training Program is the development of effective instructional leaders. The training program is comprised of three modules that include class sessions as well as practicum hours. The three modules are referred to as:

  • Module 1 (Elementary OR Secondary): Leadership and Support of Student Instructional programs
  • Module 2: Leadership and Management for Instructional Improvement
  • Module 3: Instructional Technology to Improve Pupil Performance

The Administrator Training Program is an approved pathway to fulfilling the requirement for Tier II of the Clear Professional Administrator's Credential.

Fee: $1,500 for Module 1 and $1,500 for Modules 2 & 3 combined. Public school districts may be reimbursed through the California Department of Education up to $3,000 per participant.  For more information regarding reimbursement, please go to www.ab430training.org.

 

 

 

 

Leadership for Accelerated Results

  • Increase your knowledge of the significant body of evidence demonstrating that whole system change for accelerated results is possible, and
  • Develop the specific skills to transform your system to achieve these results.

These ongoing training sessions are based on the work of Michael Fullan, Doug Reeves, Dean Fixsen, and others who translate research into the practical experience of transforming school sysems with extraordinary results. You will learn about the behaviors, processes and systems that result in accelerated short-term achievement and sustainable growth over time. Six-week continuous improvement action plans will guide your implementation by addressing roadblocks and maximizing resources.
