California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has released updates to K-12 Schools Guidance for the 2022-2023 school year.
The guidance applies CDC's recommendations to the California context, in order to help K-12 schools formulate and implement plans for safe, successful, and full in-person instruction in the 2022-23 school year. This guidance is effective immediately and will be reviewed regularly by CDPH.
Updates as of May 23, 2023:
- References to CDC COVID-19 Community Levels (retired on May 11, 2023) have been replaced with references to California COVID-19 data sources.
- References to masking resources have been updated.
Schools in our county will continue to review these updates and will communicate expectations and practices for the 2022-2023 school year to their communities.
