The Monterey County Office of Education selects one employee of the month each month in the categories of Management, Classified, and Certificated employees. This recognition page showcases our Employees of the Month for the past 12 months.
Years of Service
MCOE honors its employees annually for their years of service. Employees are honored beginning at 5 years of service and every 5 years to follow. Each employee is recognized with a certificate and a pin.
Teacher of the Year and Classified School Employee of the Year Awards
The Monterey County Office of Education honors our highly esteemed countywide Teacher of the Year and Classified School Employee of the Year every year in each of our thirteen categories. All honorees were awarded in spring of 2023. In addition, all awardees will receive a $500 cash award made possible by the generous sponsorship of Chevron.
