Students to Explore Higher Education and Career Pathways Through Direct Engagement with Colleges and Employers

SALINAS, CA – The Monterey County Office of Education (MCOE) is proud to host a dynamic and inspiring College and Career Fair for students and community members on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the National Steinbeck Center, located at 1 Main Street, Salinas.

This informative event is designed to ignite curiosity and ambition in students while connecting them with an array of colleges, universities, career programs, trade schools, and local employers. From four-year universities and community colleges to apprenticeship opportunities and workforce training programs, students will gain direct access to resources that can shape their academic and career journeys.

Attendees will have the valuable opportunity to speak one-on-one with admission officers and industry professionals, explore potential majors and career paths, and gather practical tools to take the next step toward their future goals.

“We want every student to see that their future is full of possibilities,” said Monterey County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Deneen Guss. “Whether they’re planning for college, a career, or both, attending a college and career fair helps them take real steps toward their goals by connecting with people and resources that can guide the way.”

This event underscores MCOE’s commitment to preparing all students for success in both college and career, helping them to envision and pursue a future filled with promise and purpose.

MCOE extends its sincere gratitude to the participating institutions, community partners, and volunteers whose support is making this event possible and impactful for Monterey County youth.
