Monterey County Office of Education To Host Teacher Recruitment Fair
SALINAS, CA – The Monterey County Office of Education invites aspiring teachers, veteran educators, and job seekers ready to start a career in education to attend the 2023 Teacher Recruitment Fair on Saturday, February 25 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Salinas PAL Building, 100 Howard Street in Salinas.
This event provides an opportunity for individuals seeking teaching positions to meet with Monterey County school districts that are hiring teachers and other certificated candidates, including psychologists, counselors, school nurses, speech-language pathologists, and audiologists. Attendees will be able to meet and possibly interview with a number of Monterey County educational institutions. “If you are looking for a career in education, this is the place to find it,” says County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Deneen Guss. “This virtual job fair is your one-stop-shop to connect with school hiring personnel throughout Monterey County,” says Dr. Guss.
Representatives from participating local school districts will be available for a day of focused interaction with candidates. “Monterey County is a great community with wonderful opportunities in education and we are looking for people who are ready to make a difference,” says Dr. Guss.
Currently, there are over 200 teacher-related positions available in Monterey County. Open positions can be found on the education job board website, edjoin.org.
