MCOE Names 2018 Classified School Employees of the Year

The Monterey County Office of Education had a day full of celebration on Tuesday, March 13th as six outstanding Classified employees across Monterey County were recognized as Monterey County's Classified School Employees of the Year (CSEY) for 2018. The winners, listed in order of presentation, were: 

- Miguel Contreras, Identification & Recruiter Liaison II, MCOE Migrant Education Department in the Support Services and Security Category
- Mary Cambunga, Food Service IV, Alisal Union School District in the Child Nutrition Category
- Ramon Romero, Vehicle Maintenance Attendant, Salinas Union High School District in the Transportation Category
- Marci Ernst, Library Clerk, North Monterey County Unified School District in the Para-Educator Category
- Tina Gerow, School Secretary/Registrar, Carmel Unified School District in the Office and Technical Category
- Bill Ferguson, Head Custodian, Monterey Peninsula Unified School District in the Maintenance, Operations and Facilities Category

CSEY winners will be honored at a celebration dinner in May and will move onto the California State Competition.
