Salinas, CA – The Monterey County Office of Education’s Early Head Start program is hosting Little Hands, Big Possibilities, an art exhibit showcasing more than 70 pieces of art created by Monterey County children under the age of three. The art show is aimed at raising awareness about the Early Head Start program and the learning that happens during the infant and toddler years.

“From their first day of life, young children are inquisitive learners,” said Arabella Landeros, Head Start/Early Head Start Educator, Monterey County Office of Education. “Through art, infants and toddlers discover and explore new textures, colors, patterns, shapes, thoughts and ideas.”
The community is invited to the opening celebration on Monday, March 16 at 12:15 p.m.  A brief 15-minute program featuring Monterey County Superintendent of Schools Dr. Nancy Kotowski, Head Start/Early Head Start Director Sonia Jaramillo, Assistant Superintendent of Student Services Dr. Faris Sabbah, and Early Head Start Coordinator Claudia Venegas will be followed by a reception with light refreshments.

The exhibit will remain open during business hours through Friday, March 20. The public is encouraged to visit.
