Monterey County Office of Education’s Head Start & Early Head Start Programs Offer Scholarships

Salinas, CA – The Monterey County Office of Education Head Start & Early Head Start Parent Policy Council is pleased to announce the availability of three (3) scholarships: one for parents, and two for students.

The parent scholarship is offered to parents of children currently enrolled in the Head Start & Early Head Start Program (EHS), who wish to begin or continue their educational career.

The two student scholarships are offered to students who were previously enrolled in the Head Start Program, and are currently attending college, or are high school seniors planning to attend college after graduation from high school. One scholarship is in the amount of $500.00. The second scholarship is in the amount of $250.00. Applicants must submit proof of Head Start participation.

Applications for parent and student scholarships are available through high school counselors, or the Monterey County Office of Education’s Early Learning Program website.

The deadline for all application submissions is May 15, 2015 by 5:00 p.m.
