Family Resource Center (FRC) at the Salinas Community School

The Monterey County Office of Education's Family Resource Center at the Salinas Community School offers comprehensive wraparound services to connect students and families with essential resources and support. Our services include food assistance, school and hygiene products, parenting classes, health services, clothing, tents and blankets, laundry facilities, prepaid cards, bus passes, legal advice, citizenship classes, and referrals to agencies providing specialized support.

Our dedicated staff at the Family Resource Center assists with applications for programs like CalWorks, food assistance, Medi-Cal, college applications, and financial aid/FAFSA. Additional support services available include resource distribution, service coordination, training or meeting space, events, a student “hangout” spot, counseling, healthcare, childcare during events, and college/career guidance.

The Family Resource Center serves all Monterey County Office of Education students, including those in Head Start/Early Learning, Alternative Education/Court Schools, Monterey County Home Charter School, Special Education programs, and homeless children and youth in Monterey County districts and charter schools without access to a Family Resource Center.
