About

As the county superintendents’ designee, the Director of Compliance performs oversight, monitoring and reporting functions regarding the following programs/legislation:

Charter School Oversight: Under the direction of the County Superintendent, the Compliance Office coordinates the programmatic and fiscal oversight for the charter schools approved by the Monterey County Board of Education.  The department also serves as a resource for the Monterey County charter schools.

Williams Lawsuit Legislation: Under the direction of the County Superintendent, the Compliance Office coordinates the requirements of the Williams Legislation.
