Bay View Academy

In August, 2011, Bay View Academy (BVA) opened as a public charter school based on core principles of community, innovation, and passion for learning.

The mission of BVA is to offer a broad academic program that sparks imaginations and produces creative and independent thinkers. The program is student centered and anchored by talented teachers. Community participation, including partnerships with local educational, cultural, and research organizations, enhances the learning of languages, history, the arts, and sciences. Bay View Academy allows students to discover and pursue their interests; offers hands-on learning experiences; actively involves parents in their children’s education; and extends the classroom beyond its walls into the community.
