Media Center for Arts, Education and Technology

Media Center for Arts, Education and Technology (MCAET) is a department of the Educational Services Division in the Monterey County Office of Education. Preparing students for college and career pathways, MCAET provides opportunities to learn alongside industry professionals to create and deliver high-quality content. Arts, Media, & Entertainment professionals and students collaborate to produce educational, informative, and entertaining programming. MCAETtv utilizes high-tech, state-of-the-art infrastructure to make content available both on air and online.
In addition to its media and arts initiatives, MCAET operates the Central Coast Mobile Fab Lab—a cutting-edge mobile classroom that delivers STEAM and STEM education directly to schools and communities across Monterey County. The Fab Lab offers immersive, hands-on experiences in areas such as CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing), allowing students to explore engineering, design, and digital fabrication. The program also supports professional development for educators, helping them integrate innovative technologies and STEAM-based learning into their classrooms.
