Digital Fabrication and Mobile Fab Lab

The Fab Lab's primary focus is our area Middle Schools. Research shows this is an age group that is often under-served for STEM learning opportunities, despite this being a critical age for students determining their path in life. Projects can be focused entirely on the processes and tools involved or used to support existing curriculum and lessons with a hands-on project to emphasize lesson objectives. Our mobility allows us to serve the entire county regardless of a school or a student's ability to travel to existing workshops and makerspaces. In the interest of accessibility we try to use free or low cost software solutions so that students and schools can continue their learning journey after a Fab Lab visit.
