About
Purchasing Services solicits quotes and formal competitive bids for materials, supplies, equipment, services and construction for the Monterey County Office of Education. We provide oversight to ensure compliance with basic competitive bidding rules in the Public Construction Codes for school districts and in the California Code of Regulations (CCR) for county offices of education.
Purchasing Services

Performs bulk purchasing for elementary school districts under 2,500 ADA (Education Codes 38110, 38111, and 38112);

Develops, reviews, and manages bids, contracts, and proposals;

Request for Proposal (RFP) services include: advertisement, receipt of sealed bids, review of bidder responses, preparation of award letter, and any necessary County Board Agenda items;

Request for Quotes (RFQ) services provide for the solicitation of written quotes in accordance with the CCR from at least three separate vendors.
