Information Technology Services

About Us

The Information Technology division of the Monterey County Office of Education provides leadership in the area of information systems, computing, and telecommunications. We provide services to staff and students at schools, districts, and in our organization. We are dedicated to providing a safe and reliable computing environment that enables teaching and learning to utilize technology tools.

Services

Device Support

Information Technology (IT) provides support for devices and associated applications. Support covers many phases of the computing life cycle, including purchasing guidance, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting. User training is available as part of the troubleshooting/maintenance process, as well as for ongoing learning.

Infrastructure Support

IT provides Internet access and associated support for Monterey County schools. IT is available to provide guidance to schools on large project deployments, as well as infrastructure projects and services. Internet Access service is designed to ensure districts have high-speed internet access.

CALPADS Support

IT provides support for CALPADS with regular network meetings and workshops to assist district staff share best practices, problem-solving strategies, error resolution, and data governance. Meetings and workshops are often held in conjunction with the California Department of Education (CDE) and the California School Information Services (CSIS).
