SELPA Services 

Special Education Local Plan Areas (SELPAs) were established through state legislation to help ensure that all students who qualify for special education and related services receive a free and appropriate public education (FAPE). In Monterey County, all school districts, along with the Monterey County Office of Education, are members of the Monterey County SELPA. Below are descriptions of several programs and services offered through the Monterey County SELPA.
