SELPA Parent & Community Resources

Monterey County SELPA is working to meet the changing needs of our community through the delivery of an increased number of training opportunities for families and caregivers. The workshops and training opportunities listed on this menu will be facilitated and/or presented by SELPA staff. Select any workshop listed on this menu to register directly for the training. These workshops will be offered monolingually in English or Spanish or bilingually with simultaneous translation. Be sure to read the flyer information and register for the opportunities that meet your language preference.

Workshop Description:

This workshop is designed to help families better understand the process that occurs as their child transitions from an Early Start program to a Preschool program. It will help define the roles of the infant program, the school district and the family as all three work together to develop a new plan for meeting the unique needs of each child as they grow and develop. The collaborative effort involves required meetings, assessments and timelines which are all outlined in this workshop.

This workshop is a collaborative effort between Special Kids Connect, San Andreas Regional Center and Monterey County SELPA.

Este taller está diseñado para ayudar a las familias a comprender mejor el proceso que ocurre cuando su hijo pasa de un programa de Early Start a un programa de preescolar. Ayudará a definir los roles del programa infantil, el distrito escolar y la familia mientras los tres trabajan juntos para desarrollar un nuevo plan para satisfacer las necesidades únicas de cada niño a medida que crecen y se desarrollan. El esfuerzo colaborativo implica las reuniones, evaluaciones y cronogramas requeridos que se describen en este taller.

Este taller es un esfuerzo de colaboración entre Special Kids Connect, San Andreas Regional Center y Monterey County SELPA.
