Family Resource Centers Network of Monterey County
The Family Resource Centers Network of Monterey County represents 12 districts and charter schools throughout the county. We offer comprehensive wraparound services to connect students and families with essential resources and support. Our services include food assistance, school and hygiene products, parenting, ESL, literacy, GED, and citizenship classes, enrichment programs for students and their families, health services, clothing, tents and blankets, laundry facilities, prepaid cards, bus passes, legal advice, and referrals to agencies providing specialized support.
District employees may assist with applications for programs like CalWorks, food assistance, Medi-Cal, college applications, and financial aid/FAFSA. Additional support services available include resource distribution, service coordination, training or meeting space, events, a student “hangout” spot, counseling, healthcare, childcare during events, and college/career guidance. Many of the FRCs offer Community Events, Parent Events, and other Educational Opportunities such as Life Skills training, Literacy and Math Nights, and Health Fairs.
We proudly collaborate with various community partners, including Harmony at Home, Community Human Services, Monterey County Probation Department, Monterey County Behavioral Health, Door to Hope, Monterey College of Law, Wonderwood Ranch, Food Bank for Monterey County, Goodwill, Sun Street Centers, and Partners for Peace, United Way Monterey County, the faith community, among others.
We are collaborating to seek available funding sources to enhance our student and family services with additional resources that provide the best care possible.
