WASC Accreditation
MCHCS was visited by a WASC Visiting Committee in February of 2019. WASC, a 501(c)(3) organization, is recognized as one of six regional associations that accredit public and private schools, colleges, and universities in the United States.
We are happy to announce that we were granted a six-year re-accreditation status, through 2025.
Why Accreditation?
- Certification to the public that the school is a trustworthy institution of learning
- Validates the integrity of a school’s program and student transcripts
- Fosters improvement of the school’s programs and operations to support student learning
- Assures a school community that the school’s purposes are appropriate and being accomplished through a viable educational program
- A way to manage change through regular assessment, planning, implementing, monitoring and reassessment
- Assists a school/district in establishing its priority areas for improvement as a result of the perpetual accreditation cycle

MCHCS is currently accredited through WASC, having received six-year accreditations in 2007 2013, and 2019. In addition, MCHCS's charter was extended a 5-year renewal on March 1, 2017.
