Employee Health & Fitness Day

Employee Health & Fitness Day
Suzy Covarrubias

Let’s face it. Living in sunny California, renowned for its warm weather, beautiful beaches and fertile inland valleys can take a toll on your skin.

MCSIG Member Notice

But I wear sunscreen, you say? Sunscreen doesn't block all of the sun's damaging rays, unfortunately. Some of the UV rays still get through.

Have your skin checked for potential sun damage this month in celebration of Employee Health & Fitness Day.

The free 10-minute skin screening is fully-clothed. The screening focuses only on your face. Your face will be scanned using UV light (black light) and a mirror. An image of your skin's condition and any underlying potential problem areas will be analyzed and you'll receive the results.

If possible, use very light make-up or do not wear make-up at all, on the day of your screening.

If the screening detects any areas that should be followed up by a doctor, I've attached a list of Blue Shield of California in-network Dermatologists accepting new patients for the five counties (Monterey, Santa Cruz, S.L.O., San Benito, and El Dorado).

MCSIG members including spouses and dependents over 18 can attend any of the skin cancer screenings listed below. Additional sites may be added to the schedule in the coming weeks so please check back on our website & www.mcsig.com under Wellness.
