  • California Youth Connection
    California Youth Connection (CYC) is a youth led organization that develops leaders who empower each other and their communities to transform the foster care system through legislative and policy change.
    Monterey Chapter meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month 5:45pm – 7:15pm at The Epicenter: 20 Maple Street, Salinas.

Partner Agencies

Monterey County is fortunate to have many organizations that provide a wide range of services for foster students! Below are links to some of our community partners and organizations.

  • Peacock Acres
    Provides supportive housing, intense case management, and life coaching for foster children and young adults who have been separated from their families.

  • Kinship Center
    Builds adoptive and other families where children can heal from past abuse or neglect and grow to healthy adulthood.

  • CASA of Monterey County
    Trains and supports community volunteers who advocate for abused or neglected children placed in foster care, upholding the children’s rights while pursuing a safe and permanent home.

  • Family to Family
    A whole new approach in foster care that involves the family and community members in making placement decisions, aspires to find and maintain foster and kinship families who can support children and families in their own neighborhoods, and invests in the capacity of communities to build support to keep families together or bring them back together.

  • Monterey County Department of Social Services
    The Family and Children’s Services Branch offers child protective services, foster care services, and adoption services to children and youth in Monterey County.

  • California Youth Connection
    A youth-led organization that develops leaders who empower each other and their communities to transform the foster care system through legislative, policy, and practice change.
