Bardin Preschool Autism Boot Camp

The Bardin Preschool will hold an Autism Boot Camp for parents starting after the Spring Break.  The series will be conducted by a Speech Therapist, School Psychologist and Occupational Therapist.  The Boot Camp will talk about the eligibility part of autism and then intervention.   Videos on each topic will be very short- about 1 minute in length!

ADEPT (Autism Distance Education Parent Training) Interactive Learning

ADEPT (Autism Distance Education Parent Training) Interactive Learning is an original MIND Institute/CEDD 10-lesson interactive, self-paced, online learning module providing parents with tools and training to more effectively teach their child with autism and other related neurodevelopmental disorders functional skills using applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques.

The Center on Secondary Education for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (CSESA)

The Center on Secondary Education for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (CSESA) has conducted a series of research activities including focus groups, small pilot studies, and a large scale randomized control trial to develop, refine, and evaluate a comprehensive intervention program for high schools serving individuals on the autism spectrum. The SELPA Community Advisory Committee (CAC)

The SELPA Community Advisory Committee (CAC) meets regularly to discuss topics of interest to parents and community members who take an active interest in all matters concerning special education in Monterey County. The CAC reviews and makes recommendations relating to SELPA Local Plan and participates in other activities to support students with disabilities in our area. The CAC also assists SELPA in developing the parent education program.

This information provides you as parents, legal guardians, and surrogate parents of children with disabilities from three (3) years of age through age twenty-one (21) and students who have reached age eighteen (18), the age of majority, with an overview of your educational rights or procedural safeguards.
