1. How do I set a signature?

Windows: Go to File > Options > Mail > Signature

Mac: Go to Outlook (upper left of screen) > Preferences > Signature

2. How do I set an out-of-office message?

Windows: Go to File > Automatic Replies (Out of Office)

Mac: Go to the Tools Tab > Out of Office

3. What is the difference between CC and BCC?

CC (Carbon Copy) sends an e-mail to a recipient and displays their name in the CC field, noting that the information in the e-mail pertains to them in some way. BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) sends an e-mail to the recipient but withholds their address from displaying. Other recipients (such as those who were CCed or  in the “To” field) would not see that the e-mail was sent to those in the BCC field.

4. How do I make BCC appear in Outlook?

Windows/Mac: While composing an e-mail, go to the Options tab and click BCC

5. How do I share a calendar with someone?

Windows/Mac: In Calendar mode, click on the calendar you want to share. Then, under the home tab, click “Calendar Permissions” and use the “Add” button to add people.

6. How do I access someone else’s calendar?

Windows: In the Calendar Home tab, click on Open Calendar > Open Shared Calendar > Select the user whose calendar you wish to open

Mac: In the Calendar Home tab, click on Open Calendar > Select the user whose calendar you wish to open

7. How do I set-up a rule?

Windows/Mac: In the Calendar Home tab > Rules > Create Rule

8. How do I create a contact group?

Windows/Mac: In the Contacts Home tab > New Contact Group
