During campus closures, all schools/districts will still provide nutrition services for students. Plans are developed to ensure the safety and health of students and employees. Check this website for the details of each of the distribution plans.

Plans for Nutrition Services During Campus Closures

Alisal Union School District

  1. Meal distribution schedule will be from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

  2. Meals will be distributed at all 12 school sites:

Carmel Unified School District

We will be serving meals to those students who qualify for free and reduced priced meals through the National School Lunch Program.

If you do not qualify for free or reduced price meals and would like to order a package of 5 breakfast and 5 lunch meals for the week, please email your request to

Chualar Union School District

Meals will continue to be distributed to Chualar USD students Monday - Friday. Pick-up time will be from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Meals will continue to be distributed in an easy drive-thru or walk-up method respecting all social distancing procedures.

Gonzales Unified School District

As Gonzales Unified School District continues the 2020-2021 School Year with Distance Learning, Nutrition Services in partnership with the Maintenance Operations and Transportation (MOT) department will support our students by providing 10 meal pick up locations listed below. In order to promote Physical Distancing, we will be operating only on Monday and Tuesday. Monday’s meal service will provide 2 meals (Breakfast and Lunch for Monday). While Tuesday's meal service will provide 12 meals (Breakfast and Lunch for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday). We have also extended our serving times, 8:00 am - 2:00 pm. This meal service plan is effective from the remainder of the 2020.

For families who are limited on time and resources, we want to maximize the 9 meal pick-up locations. These 9 pickup locations are based on the existing bus routes. For simplicity, Gonzales Unified is mirroring the same meal distribution plan as Summer Feeding program.

Greenfield Union School District

Grab-and-go meals (breakfast and lunch) will be provided daily at each school campus for those who live within City of Greenfield limits. Pick-up time: 8:00 a.m. to 10:0 a.m.

International School of Monterey

ISM participates in the federal Free and Reduced-Price Meals program, and qualifying families who elect to receive free or reduced-price lunches can follow the Boonli process to order free lunches or order and pay the lower rate for reduced-price lunches.

Because ISM receives additional funding for all students who qualify for Free and Reduced-Price Meals, we ask that all families check the eligibility requirements and apply if they believe they have any chance to qualify, even if they do not plan to order free or reduced-price lunches.

King City Union School District

Because we are opening school for the 2020-21 school year with distance learning only, all lunches will be served out of our King City Arts Magnet Campus. Grab and Go lunches and breakfasts (5 days of meals) will be served on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Parents picking up meals for students will need to provide their child’s campus of attendance and student ID number.

Meals will be provided daily for the students attending the Pro-Youth day camp program at Santa Lucia School.

Learning for Life Charter School

We offer pre-packaged breakfast to students. Students can come to campus any day to pick them up. We have placed locker banks outside our back door, on the patio. You can get to the patio via the ramp up from Imjin Rd, or by walking through the recycling area off the parking lot at the back of our building. Locker number 36 is always kept unlocked and stocked with the breakfast packages. Students may take as many as they like. Monterey Peninsula Unified School District

Breakfast and Lunch
The district will offer Grab and Go meals at 16 school sites from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.

North Monterey County Unified School District

Pacific Grove Unified School District

Breakfast and lunch pick-up will be provided Monday to Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Pacific Grove High School. Drive up or walk-up to pick up meals at the lower student parking lot off Sunset Dr. Drive up or walk up to pick up meals at corner of Arkwright Ct and Moreland Ave.

Thursday and Friday meals will be distributed on Wednesdays.

Salinas City Elementary School District

We will be providing meals at all 14 school site locations, twice a day, Monday through Thursday.

On Thursdays, students will receive an additional meal for Friday.

Food distribution will be from 7:30 am to 8:30 am and 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

When attending our food distribution, please wear your mask and follow social distancing protocols.

Salinas Union High School District

Salinas Union High School District will continue to provide access to free healthy meals for all students during the 2020-21 school year.

Drive thru/walk up service will be from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Bagged meals will be provided at the following schools:

Santa Rita Union School District

The USDA and California Department of Education have extended a key waiver for school nutrition programs. This waiver will once again allow us to serve meals to all members of the household who are 18 years and younger. Beginning September 1, 2020 we will resume this service until further notice. Please only pick up a breakfast and a lunch at one of our designated locations for those in your home that are between the ages of 1 and 18. Breakfast and lunch can be picked up at the following locations between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.:

  • Bolsa Knolls Middle School
  • New Republic Elementary School
  • Santa Rita Elementary School

Please provide the names of the children in your home to our staff when picking up breakfast and lunch. For your safety and the safety of our staff please wear a face covering when picking up meals. You will receive heating instructions for items that need to be reheated unless the packaging already contains instructions.

Soledad Unified School District

All Soledad USD enrolled students will receive free meals.

Meal distribution schedule will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Meals will be distributed at all 7 school sites: San Vicente Elementary School, Gabilan Elementary School, Rose Ferrero Elementary School, Frank Ledesma Elementary School, Jack Franscioni Elementary School, Main Street Middle School and Soledad High School.

If parents or guardians are picking up meals for students, they will have to provide the names of the students and the schools they attend for clerks to verify attendance. Every Student will have a personal lunch identification number given to them.

The District also needs to have each family fill out an “Alternative Income Form.” The forms will be provided to all parents during the first day of meal pick up. Please return the form the following day.

South Monterey County Joint Union High School District

King City High School & Greenfield High School

  • Monday, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Food Services will provide 5 day meal kits, free of charge for children under the age of 18. Students are entitled to one meal kit per week and may choose between Monday and Wednesday to pick up their meal. Parents/guardians may pick up meals to take home to the students. Below is more information on the changes to the school meal service: 

  • Parents or students may pick up the meals
  • Choose only one day for meal pick-up
  • Meals are free for all children 18 and under
  • Masks are required for meal pick-up
  • Maintain 6 feet apart at all times

* If Monday lands on a holiday or non-school day, meals will be distributed the following school day *
